Children of the grave II Haunted School Review by Amy Hansford Indianapolis Paranormal Investigations Examiner

Children of the grave II Haunted School Review by Amy Hansford Indianapolis Paranormal Investigations Examiner 5 stars. Last night I had the pleasure of being at Mid-Ohio Paranormal Convention. The convention was at the haunted Poasttown Elementary School in Middleton, OH. One of the reasons for going was the chance to watch their latest documentary, "Children of the Grave II". The documentary started out visiting several "poor farms" talking about the history of the locations. A "poor farm" was a government run facility that housed indigent people or those with special needs. Some of these people lived in poor conditions. There were some cases where people with mental issues were housed.Their main focus was on the children. The stories were sad. The last story was based aroud the Lemp family and a child called Zeke. Zeke was also known as the kid with the monkey face. Zeke lived in hiding until his death at the age of 16. Zeke is still hiding in the Lemp mansion. The Booth Brothers have out done themselves with this one! I recommend this documentary to anyone, not just the paranormal community. The film was touching and there was a very good message in the film as well.
If I had to say one word about the film it would be "powerful".

Children of the Grave 2 Review ***** a Booth Brothers Film by Annette Munnich Life goes on for us all, even those of us coexisting with forgotten people, forgotten abandoned places and little forgotten worlds. Many years ago for some. One missed heartbeat ago for others. Time capsules of energy between the living and the dead. The word "void" could be used here but would be inappropriate to describe stories so much alive with layers of real human tragedies and stories inside stories. The Booth brothers are back with Children of the Grave 2, a horror documentary that continues the exploration of some of the most talked about and curious places that are reputed to be haunted by children. We are invited to join the investigations and watch them unfold and reveal some hard looks into the unknown from the comfort of our chair. The evidence gathered is compelling. I was excited about this movie as it includes such intriguing places such as Lemp Mansion in St. Louis and Ashmore Estates in Illinois. There are many familiar faces in Children of the Grave 2 on the investigation teams such as Keith Age, Ivana Booth, Juli Velasquez, and paranormal device inventor Bill Chappel. The list of people appearing in this film is long. I like the perspective given by the mediums and sensitives who participated including Scotty Rorek, Tiffany Smith Johnson and Betsy Belanger to name a few. This is a well put together documentary that still retains the edge of rawness. Peering around the corner brings both fascination and heartbreak. Eternal questions remain on the table perhaps closer to being understood though never solved. May we always remember these souls who had not an ounce of peace living and have found no peace dead. Thank you Christopher and Philip Booth for a wild and riveting ride that again opens the mind and tugs at the heart.

CHILDREN OF THE GRAVE 2 DVD REVIEW:By Terra King at Terra's Independent Voice.
This film is a follow-up to the very popular “Children of the Grave,” the documentary about the spirits of children who can’t move on. Twin filmmakers, Christopher Saint Booth and Philip Adrian Booth, have made a career of filming paranormal docs. Between the two brothers, they do pretty much all of the work on the films and also appear on camera, which is pretty amazing. They roam the halls of long closed hospitals and almshouses, some of which are literally falling apart, looking for evidence. The history of these horrible places is told via re-enactments and photos. Peppered in are interviews with members of paranormal groups, sensitives and the owners of haunted properties.
It is the history of the places investigated that really sets Christopher and Philip apart from other filmmakers. Fancy isn’t their style, it’s all about the history and the EVPs asking for ‘help.’ There is also a photo captured here and there of a spirit that gives the viewer a small window into real paranormal events. Dark and often disturbing, this documentary shows the hopelessness of trapped children. This new film, “Children of the Grave II,” the brothers investigate the Ashmore Estates, Lemp Mansion, Death Alley and the Gore Orphanage. These are creepy places where the echoes of a horrible past can still be heard throughout. EVPs caught ask for ‘help’ and call for ‘mommy.’ Captured on film are shadow people pacing back and forth in a dark hallway. The property owners can fill in some history of their buildings and even reveal some ghost stories. But, it’s the sensitives and investigators, such as Louisville, Ky investigator Keith Age, who fill in a lot of information no one can tell, but the ones who can see what the rest of us can’t.
Each location is walked through with this cast of investigators, evidence is obtained and discussed. The sweetness of the brother’s spirits is one of the reasons these films work so well, they care about the spirits. It’s not about the flash and crash of outrageous gorilla investigating. It’s about giving the voiceless a forum to speak their peace. The cast of investigators and sensitives are: • Keith Age • Betsy Bellanger • Rick Hayes • Tiffany Smith Johnson • Dakota Lawrence • Michael Lynch • Scotty Rorek • Juli Velazquez At the time of this writing, the news came that Christopher and Philip are not only good filmmakers, they are award-winning filmmakers. Congratulations on winning 2 festival awards, Best Film and Best Cinematography at Nashville’s “Full Moon Horror Film Festival.” This award is for “The Haunted Boy-The Secret Diary of the Exorcist.” http://terrasindependentvoice.com/review/children-of-the-grave-ii-dvd-review/ By Terra King at Terra's Independent Voice.

CHILDREN OF THE GRAVE 2-Theatrical Review,Tampa Florida.

CHILDREN OF THE GRAVE 2-Theatrical Review,Tampa Florida. Gasparilla Film Festival World Premiere. The Booth Brothers in Haunted Ybor City.WORD PRESS.
The Gasparilla International Film Festival is Tampa Bay’s largest independent film festival and was established in 2006. It has grown since then. Today it is taking it’s place among major film festivals around the country. This year’s 2012 offering showcased over 100 films made up of features, shorts and documentaries. Filmmakers, actors and celebrities traveled to Tampa to celebrate the art of film here and around the world. Among those attending were film impresarios The Booth Brothers. They were here to screen their new film “Children of the Grave 2″ at Muvico Theater in Ybor City. Their creative film contributions on the SyFy Channel are, I believe, the best work being done on that network today. Because of my ghost tour here they contacted me and we had a chance to meet. They invited me to the screening and then to the ‘after party’. At the end of the screening there was a Q&A session in which Christopher and Phillip were open, honest and gracious. They shared insights into the effort required to make a project like this happen. They answered questions about film and the paranormal. Moreover, they shared their real feelings about these subjects and I found this refreshing. I had an opportunity to chat a little more with Philip than Christopher and found him to be a kindred spirit of sorts. My sense was that they are both loving the ride and loving the work and are dedicated to their art. The experience from first to last was a treat. I use the word ‘impresarios’ because ‘filmmakers’ isn’t quite adequate. They are gifted cinematographers who write, direct and produce. They are ghost investigators…researchers. They are story tellers. They are artists who are helping their audience see something they have never seen before. They are using their medium to make connections for their audience between the heart and the spirit. They do not use the approach so many ghost hunting reality shows use, to endlessly shift the camera in some dark, excited drama using night vision cameras as though we are on a spook house ride. Or to treat the subject like some midway sideshow. Instead, they create a sense of humanity in the process of revealing the story and the evidence obtained. I see this so clearly because they are doing, on a far more sophisticated level using an entirely different medium, something not so far afoot from what I do here on my tours. I and my guests do some investigating, recording and photographing…but most of what I do is storytelling in which I attempt to acquaint my tour participants with the ghosts themselves, with their stories and maybe with their attachments and why they remain. I attempt to connect my participants with the human condition of these individuals who have become ghosts. In doing so I hope to touch something deep. The Booth Brothers are artists using a different medium to invoke the art of storytelling in which I believe they too wish to touch something deep. And how do they do this? First, they use historical documentation in the form of old newspaper articles and photographs to inform us and to give the sense that we too are involved in discovering this history. We come to see a credible ‘past’ in each story. Secondly, recreations of events are done with a sense of accuracy and with an attention to detail but never without a stylistic flow that draws the eye in. I am a fan of cinematography and their work here, framed scene after framed scene is beautifully rendered. This illustration is done in camera with effects but not with CGI (computer generated imagery). Third, with each investigation comes finally an effort to ‘assist’ the entities toward some resolve…to give some guidance to their ‘moving on’. This part is in some ways the most chilling and the most inspiring. It is here where we as the audience make the connection that what we call ghosts are disembodied conscious beings who have some aspect of ego still intact and can be helped to move forward. They do not ‘have to’ choose to remain here. It is affective and inspiring and very different than anything else being done in reality ghost hunting shows. In fact, I believe the Booth Brothers have made a step out of the genre (which frankly is saturated) into a creative place where they have the opportunity to investigate something beyond simple ghost hunting. They are working to take us to the next level. They too, like all ghost investigators, use elaborate technology. It’s now ‘stock in trade’ for the process of any investigation. But technology is cold as is the word ‘paranormal”. The Booth Brothers use both sparingly in ‘Children of the Grave 2′. This film does not portray ghosts being ‘hunted’. It is not the science of the paranormal being objectively applied to investigations. It is rather a rich, film exploration of something more universal than the paranormal…it touches upon the supernatural. And in doing so it touches our spirit. We have enjoyed meeting the Booth Brother's, buying their movies and even getting a free movie and poster. They are the most down to earth, lovable, approachable, real, brilliant, very compassionate, kind people that they appear to be in the public eye. A rare bread of human being that realizes that there is more to life then just this heard body. The soul goes on, and the Booth Brother's know how to document it well. I have been a fan of theirs since before the paranormal really took off. All of their energy and honesty of liberty and thought that goes into a Booth bros production or Pictures is a work of art from one end to the next end. Laurie

A Day in Nashville, TN at the Tattoo and Horror Festival What an awesome time we have had. It all started at 12:20AM Saturday morning when Jay and I arrived at the La Quinta Inn in Nashville, TN to find our team founder Laurie Crane Triten walking through the hotel foyer welcoming us with a great big hug. After we got up to the room and got settled in Laurie brought over a lot of suitcases and in it was the world of G.A.S.P. She went through the process of showing us how to unload and repack our pieces of equipment. We set up cameras and dvr's and documented the training session. After about 4 hours of going over things about the team we laid down for what I can only call a nap of sorts. Another 5 hours passes in what seemed like minutes as we slept not to get fully rested but just that spark of energy that we needed to go to the Tattoo and Horror Festival we had come to attend. Not long after getting up we all got into our van and headed out for the festival for Tattoos, fun and a little visit with the Booth Brothers. As we got near the festival the streets were crowded with people dressed up in an array of different costumes. We took pictures and filmed all the way to the festival. Laurie wanted our day documented so we could not only remember every moment we had spent together but also to teach us how to do our job. When we got to the convention center we parked the van and made our way through the crowd to get our wristbands and find the tattoo booths. We had come here to see the Booth Bros but they would not arrive until 3:45PM. So we all proceeded to the Tattoo booths to find Laurie and Wendy someone to do the tattoos they had picked out to get. After going from booth to booth trying to find just the perfect tattoo artist we decided to walk around for 10 or 15 minutes until it was time for the tattoos. As we are walking through the convention center we were wondering where the Booth Bros were going to be in the convention center when lo and behold Laurie walks right upon their Booth. There was a couple ladies there looking through the movies that the brothers had to sell and they told us that Philip and Christopher Booth were going to be there any minute. How ironic that we just happened upon their booth and they were to arrive at any time and it was almost 20 minutes early. The tattoos could wait a bit. As we went through all the movies and picked out all our favs the Bro's arrived. We were all very excited to get to meet our Facebook friends and they were very down to earth and just down right nice. When Laurie saw them she asked if they remembered her and Philip says yes you're Laurie. While we were there visiting with the duo they took the time to autograph Laurie's movies she had picked out and even signed pictures for us. But this was not all. We got some awesome deals on their movies and t-shirts to boot. After we got done picking out our movies and stuff the Brothers took the time to take pictures with us while we were there. They were so nice. They even took pics of their own and said they were going to put them on Facebook. Sharon

Do you think that someone could go through the graveyard where all those childern are buried only with a number and pray for them to go to heaven, just so they can be at peace, that part made me and my girls cry.I just had custody of my grand childern,my daughters boyfreind left the 3 yr.old alone in the shower and he fell and got seriously injured and he almost died in my arms last tuesday, that was surreal,he is fine i am just glad he is fine. The children is what makes the life worth living, and by you both doing what you do for the childern who have already passed is amazing, and God will bless you for what you do to help and to bring recognition to them. I am going on the websit now to order some things have a good night, and God bless you.You Mother is so proud of you,and all the childern you help go and tell her all about you both,as they wlk in the flower fields in Heaven. Shawnann

This documetery is so sad. I couldn't even imagine living life like the indians did in the 1800's-1900's. Not being able to speak your own language, see your family. You had to have a certain blood type to go to a certain school. And poor Michael, that lost his life due to drowning at age 5, I believe? Unbelievable. The evp's are amazing as well!
I advise EVERYONE to watch ' Soul Catcher, trail of tears' the name says it all. Gasper
